For the last few years I have been exploring Britain’s connection with is ancient prechristian roots, its relationship with nature and the passing of time, continuing my facination with terrestial angels.
The Angel in the Stone
Made for a celebration of artist Derek Jarman’s 80th birthday, this short film is both a homage to a great visual and spiritual inspiration to me whilst also exploring my interest in Ancient British history and paganism. Shot primarily at ‘the stones’ in hackney marshes filter bed, the site of rewilded Victorian water pump station. A space which speaks to London’s past, present and future.
